The most important thing to me in any project is the quality of the work. Susan always does high quality work, and when I ask her to complete a project, I know that it will be done to the same standard as if I would do it myself. I had 3 major projects that needed completion and did not have time to do it myself. The first two were lap quilts which were made from my late brother's sheets, and were made for my living siblings. The sheets weren't the most eye-catching, so I didn't really expect anything fetching. However, Susan found precisely the right shade of orange binding which really brought the quilts to life; they turned out so much better than I expected and my siblings loved them. The third project was a memorial wedding quilt. I had started a wedding quilt for myself and my late husband. My sister-in-law, who loves heirlooms, loved the idea of having it finished for her and my brother as a wedding present. This was no easy project, finding the spots I had left off in quilting and even having to deal with some stains the quilt backing had picked up as I had moved around. Susan worked with me on what my options were as far as finishing and hiding the spots in a manner I would be happy with. The finished project is beautiful, and I really appreciated the time that it saved for Susan to do the work for me. Honestly, I don't know of anyone besides myself that I would trust as much with these types of projects.
